Alma Opens Computer Education Centre in Nagpur (MH)

Maharashtra is one of the leading states in computer education in our country. To promote its mission, Alma has opened the new regional office in Nagpur (Maharashtra) recently. The centre is being run by dynamic personalities of Mr. Vijay Verma and Mr. Amit Agrawal along with having responsibility of promotion and development of Alma brand in the whole state. This was informed by the director Shri Santosh Shukla, Advocate. On this occasion, Mr. Vijay Verma and Mr. Amit Agrawal said that centre would help students in career guidance too. On the opening of Nagpur centre, Alma family congratulated them.

Nagpur is a major education centre in Central India. College of Agriculture, Nagpur is the oldest college in the country founded in 1906 by the then British Government. The college is held at the historic and heritage Victoria Building (built in 1856 for stay of Queen of England Her Highness Victoria at Nagpur) at Maharajbagh, Nagpur. Nagpur has 3 state universities. Founded in 1923, Nagpur University is one of the oldest in the country. The name has been officially changed to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University. Nagpur is home to India's only National Fire Service College that provides a graduation course in Fire Engineering. Nagpur houses IGNOU regional centre Also Indian Institute of Fire Engineering (IIFE) is another institution affiliated with Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE) and Director of Technical Education (DTE, Mumbai) that provides diploma courses in Fire Engineering, Safety and Security Management and located on Katol road.

Laxminarayan Institute of Technology (LIT), one of the oldest (established 1942) and top ranking engineering college of India and premier Chemical Engineering & Technology Institute is located in Nagpur. The Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, an institute of national importance and one of the premiere colleges of science and technology in the country is located in Nagpur. Institute of Management Technology, Nagpur, one of the reputed B-schools of India is located on a sprawling campus on way to Katol.Nagpur has three Engineering colleges which have been granted the prestigious 'Autonomous' status by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi, in recognition of their excellence in engineering education.


Shri Shukla further told that this centre would run all job-oriented courses of Alma by skilled 
teaching staff of professionals. On this occasion, Mr.Verma and Agrawal  said that centre would help students in career guidance too. On the opening of Nagpur centre, the chairman of Alma Pt. Vishnuprasad Shukla, Vice Chairman Prof. (Dr.) Rajeev Sharma, Director Shri Santosh Shukla, Advocate, Dr. 
Rajeev Shrivastava and members of Alma family congratulated both the center heads and his staff.
