Alma Centre at Gurdaspur had a privilege of the visiting of Students and Teachers of Hills Road College, Cambridge,UK. It visit was under education exchange program. The visiting teachers and students of Hills Road College were greatly impressed by the teaching methodology and hi tech Infrastructure of Alma Centre at Gurdaspur.The visiting group included as Mrs. Bridget.,Mr. Kewin, Ms. Julia,Mr. Reif, and Mr Tass.

 Gurdaspur : Alma Centre at Gurdaspur had a  privileged of the visiting of Students and Teachers of Hills Road College, Cambridge. UK. This visit was under education exchange program. Mrs. Bridget in her address emphasized on the importance of education from primary and basic level onwards to senior level. She also stressed upon exchange of ideas and views between different education centers world over. She said that students and teachers of Hills Road College have gathered a very positive feedback of India as it is growing, during this visit of theirs. She thanked the Centre Head of Alma Gurdaspur, Mr Jatinder Pal Singh for arranging and facilitating this interaction between the students and she said she was greatly moved by the love and respect given to them by the students and staff of Alma.

Mr Tass Sandhu who was instrumental in making this event possible said that he was sure of carrying it forward and will try further to explore all possibilities for generating positive and regular interaction between our institutions.

Mr Jatinder Pal Singh, Centre Head of Alma Gurdaspur, welcomed the guests and thanked them for sharing their views for the betterment of both the institutions. He further stated that in today’s scenario , education should be all inclusive and particularly should have humane content in it. It was important to inculcate good values among the students in addition to the regular studies.

The possibility of students of Alma, in near future, visiting Hills Road College under education exchange could also be explored.

The Guests were welcomed by the Faculty of Alma in Traditional Indian Style and subsequently the PGDCA Girls and few other students of this centre performed Gidha and they were joined by the students of Hills Road College. Indeed it was a most beautiful fusion of two different cultures.

Lavish lunch was served which was prepared under the guidance and supervision of Mrs Mohinder Kaur Ghuman, who has been given the Title of Star Chef of Punjab by Indian Tourism Department and also by Principal Secretary Tourism, Punjab Government. The Menu had been specially planned for the honorable guests and the preparations were greatly appreciated by all.

Alma Centre at Gurdaspur is equipped with state of art facilities. It is fully Air-conditioned centre having 100% power backup with 35 KW Generator. It has dedicated Lease line from BSNL and latest video conferencing facility in Two Class Rooms provided by world famous Polycom Systems. It also has smart boards, projectors, computer lab and various other latest teaching Aids. Air Conditioned Transport facility is provided to the students. Most competent faculty is the pride of this centre.

Finally the event was concluded with all the positive feelings and Guests from UK were all praise for ALMA Centre at Gurdaspur. Exchange of views is important in education arena. It is through active interaction with various other education institutions that you come to know about various trends and possibilities in this field. Alma regularly updates itself regarding different trends in present education system.
